Nordic Climate Group’s climate targets validated by SBTi
“When Nordic Climate Group was established in 2021, our ambition was to be an
industry leader in the transition from synthetic to natural cooling media. Focusing
on maximal energy efficiency and minimal climate footprint is a cornerstone of our
working model, which is used by more than 75 companies in over 100 locations in
Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands. SBTi’s validation of our
science-based targets up to 2030 is great news, and an excellent motivator”, notes
Fredrik Gren, CEO for the group.
Validation means that the science-based targets for reduction of greenhouse-gas
emissions submitted by Perfect Climate Holding Europe AB are in accordance with
SBTi’s criteria and recommendations.
The Science Based Targets initiative has validated Nordic Climate Group’s targets for
Scope 1, 2, and 3, in accordance with the Paris Agreement – that is, to limit global
temperature increase to a maximum of 1.5 °C.
Perfect Climate Holding Europe’s short-term, science-based targets:
- Perfect Climate Holding Europe AB commits to reducing absolute
Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse-gas emissions by 42 % by 2030, with 2023 as the
base year. - Perfect Climate Holding Europe AB also commits to reducing Scope 3
greenhouse-gas emissions resulting from the use of its sold products by
51.6 % per SEK added value, within the same time frame.

About the Science Based Targets initiative
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global organization that enables
companies to set ambitious goals for emissions reduction in accordance with the
latest findings in climate science. SBTi focuses on accelerating the work of
companies around the world to halve emissions before 2030 and reach net-zero
before 2050.
The initiative is a cooperative effort of the CDP, the United Nations Global Compact,
the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF),
and is one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments. SBTi defines and
promotes best practice in science-based target formulation, offers resources and
guidance to remove barriers for adoption, and provides independent assessments
and validation of companies’ targets.
