Synthetic refrigerants with F-gases have been phased out for several years. Already by 2027, the allowed volume of refrigerants with F-gases will be so small that it will be difficult and expensive to maintain many of these systems. Refrigerants with PFAS substances are regulated by the REACH directive, which is under revision. PFAS are so-called forever chemicals and are expected to be phased out in the same way as F-gases.
F-gases have a major impact on the climate and thus sustainability reports. For many property owners, problems with old systems can have a significant impact on their steps towards reduced emissions. To convert to natural refrigerants (ammonia, carbon dioxide, propane) with low GWP values* it is good to have a replacement plan that our subsidiaries can develop.
*GWP (Global Warming Potential) measures the climate impact of the refrigerant. Read more at alltomfgas.se
